July, July, July

Cherries, berries, and berries oh my! We played in the berry fields, made jam, made pies, canned fruit, went to the zoo, played some baseball, cooled off in the water fountains, Cheered for Daddy & Uncle Topher in a kickball game, played at the park, rode bikes... and that was all in one day with our 6 kids and two moms...I feel a little tired just thinking about it!
(see exhibit a)

We love having the Giles come to Portland! We love their love for life and try to keep up with their fast pace, do-everything-in -3- days ways.
We always have a lot of fun, and we always rest hard. We love cousin time!
Emmie needs an education in guns and bad guys from the boys anyway right?!

On another note...
Karyn has been my benefactress, my friend and my wise counselor since I was a tiny girl. She has always been gentle and strong. She is driven, singularly stubborn for good causes, a humble leader and selfless. She is the kind of sibling I want to be, and the kind of sibling I hope my kids can be to each other.
What a treasure!

Whew! I got tired just reading about it... of course, that is the way it is between Karyn and you, Sara. :) Always busy doing something good.
