Celebrating 6 Sweet Years

July 31st 2003 we were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. It was the best decision of my life to marry Spencer. I love the man he is and that he is becoming. I love being married to him and knowing we can be together forever. I love the love he has for the Savior and his trust in Him.
I love that he loves me and we adore our children and try to teach them together, as a team. I love the joy we have when Daddy comes home each day and the energy of our love for each other. I love my family. We are richly blessed in love...I really don't need anything else.

This was Spencer's year to plan our anniversary and he booked two nights in Bend, OR as he couldn't go on any vacations because of his residency. We were delighted with the idea of having time together just us...it was marvelous to finish a sentence, a thought, a meal while it is hot, to sleep in, to hold hands, to sit next to each other, to just be, to explore, to be carefree... it was a dream.

We went mountain biking along the Deschutes River and laughed like children.

We played golf at Widgi Creek and laughed some more. We ate some yummy Italian food in town, and walked along the older shops just holding hands. We had BBQ at Baldy's and explored a new city. It really felt like a vacation!
We had no schedule to keep, no phones to answer, no one knocking on our door or waiting for information/help. I can't remember a time that I have felt so liberated from my to do lists and my responsibilities...

Of course the biggest difference was that our children were playing with and totally enjoying cousin time with Aunt Carrie & Uncle Anthony! They generously took care of Emmie & Thane so we didn't worry about them and they didn't seem to miss us too much. What a wonderful weekend.
It was time and money well spent to have some alone time again with my Sweetheart. I sure love him.
