Goodbye to Summertime

We will miss the fun of summer. We already miss the sunshine!
We sure love the memories we made and look forward to a rich fall!

Thane and Emma both had their first hair cuts. Finally, I know. We kept saying we would do it, and finally made it happen. We made it a big event and they had a great time. Next time I think I will do it myself but the first time was fun for them to feel special and learn that it isn't so scary when you have a sucker and a balloon at the end. Doesn't hurt that you get to sit on a fun car or motorcycle while they cut it too.

Thane we adore you. You are everything we hoped for in our baby boy. You keep us laughing with your funny words and your excited and always loud, deep voice. You wait for us to get you out of your crib by yelling the names of everyone in the family. You charm us with your generosity--you are always thinking of others! We love that we get to play games with you, throw balls with you, race, golf, and talk about letters--your newest love. If I ask you what you want to eat the answer is always "hot dog" though you rarely eat them and you aren't picky about food.
You love to ask for help by taking our hands and taking us somewhere with you and showing us what you need.
Whenever we give you anything--food, potty treats, drinks etc. you always ask for one for Emma. You share everything, usually without being asked. You warm our hearts with your gratitude as you are most often found saying "dankdoo" (thank you). You love family and you give the bestest hugs! You teach us about patience as you wait for us quite often. Your smile is effervescent and your spirit is so strong and so good. You truly are a gift in our lives son. We look forward to celebrating many more days and years with you.

On August 10, 2010 Jodi and Bart were sealed in the Manti, Utah temple for time and for all eternity. We were all so happy to be there to witness such a happy marriage and a joyous day.
