Emma loved counting the fruit.
Thane loved the snacks and using the scales.
You can see some of the fruits of our labors after they were grouped for filling orders.
Tim Horton donuts were Grampa's treat for the helpers. Emma didn't like them.
Neither did Thane. They couldn't find ONE they liked. (They LOVED them ALL!)
Emma and Thane loved carrying the boxes out to recycle.
They also loved climbing on the shelves to fill orders.
Grampa was so good and so patient! He let the kids help and encouraged them. I loved watching Emma think as we told her about all of the food we prepared for people who didn't have enough for their families. I hope my children will recognize their blessings. I want so much for them to know the value of work and to look for ways to serve others.
Thanks for the example and the opportunity Grampa. I know kids usually have to be at least 8 to help...we were glad to go!
We worked hard and then had lunch at Tom Wahls...yummy hamburgers and homemade root beer. One great memory.
