"Unlimited, together we're un-limited!" NY Trip-Part II

My two favorite songs from the musical WICKED, are "Defying Gravity" and "For Good". They both remind me of some of the greatest people to influence my life so far.
The night I saw the show in NY was priceless and a moment of perfection. I felt un-limited!
A little background...

I was delightedly anxious to see WICKED since my brother had liked the music and the show. When he died, a version of "For Good" was sung at his funeral.

"I've heard it said that people come into our lives for a reason
bringing something we must learn
and we are led
to those who help us most to grow if we let them
and we help them in return..."

"I know I'm who I am today because I knew you..."
"I do believe I have been changed for the better..."
"Because I knew you, I have been changed for good."

I listened to this song and silently wept as I felt the music. Karyn squeezed my leg. I looked at my dad in the dark.

There were Tender Mercies; hugs from Karyn, Jackie Clark, and gut filling gratitude as I walked out of the theater at the end in joyful tears.
I was touched. It was personal, uplifting and inspiring to have a spiritual experience in a public theater. Sounds kind of cliche even...but it wasn't.

Hard to put into words how much that song resonates with me. It reminded me of all the good my brother brought to my life and to every life around him. It also reminded me of the many people in my life who are so important to me, that have come in and out of my life for a reason.

For good.

I felt the same way when I heard that song again a few weeks ago for a stake RS women's conference. We all can touch others' lives, for the better, and for good. Dave did, and YOU do! Love you so much!
