Three little monkeys

My monkeys Emma and Thane LOVE to jump on the bed and sing the song about monkeys...Thane often sings the song all day long. We are due to have another little monkey on April 2nd 2011.

Emma has been telling me since Thane came home from the hospital that she wanted a baby sister too. She told me many times over the past year that she wanted to have a baby in the family again. I told her that she needed to talk to Heavenly Father about that because that is how it works for our family.

When we told her we were having a baby she was THRILLED!
She told me, (and everyone else she knows), that she wanted a baby sister. I again reminded her that it was for Heavenly Father to decide, and encouraged her to talk to him about what she wanted.

She told me, "It's ok mom, I already told him what I want and I will let Him decide."

While I was picking up my jaw from the floor with my hands, I said a silent prayer that she would be able to be happy when she finds out the gender of the baby-especially if it is a boy.

When she read the ultrasound picture last night she found out it was a b-o-y, she didn't pout or get sad. She just gave me and daddy a big hug. I was impressed.

She later told me, "Mom, maybe Heavenly Father will give us a baby sister after the baby brother."
I think I will let her dream for now.

For now we will take it one little monkey at a time. :)
