Emma and Thane were gregarious on St. Patrick's Day. They were excited to see "footprints" all over the house when they woke up. (Good thing we still live in a small apartment!) These leprechauns left us a pot of gold candies of all different kinds, and they left a note about what a great job the kids do helping their mom and dad everyday to clean up and put toys away.
We had green eggs and green ham and green milk. (I have to admit it did look pretty disgusting seeing things green so I didn't go nuts with the food coloring this year.)
We had Irish Stew for dinner and talked about Ireland, traditions, and the Irish ancestors that we know about. No pressure or stress from this holiday just a lot of silliness. Love it!
Having been to Ireland I feel a stronger connection to celebrate being Irish and finding ways to make simple everyday life a little more fun.
