Kent and Jake fixed the air hockey table so we could have lots of tournaments with the kids. What a fun family game!
Jake is semi-pro already!
Kate and Thane before bed.
Abbie reading to all the cousins for the "sleepover"-not so much sleeping but a lot of fun.
Spence was such a good sport! He was pretty sick before we left and it just got worse. We found when we got home that he had a sinus infection, ear infection and a burst ear drum. On top of that you can see in this picture he is wearing Jen's glasses. He washed his old contacts down the drain and then he realized he had brought my contacts instead of his own when he couldn't see. Short version of the story, he went the whole weekend with my contacts in and Jen's glasses on top of the contacts resulting in headaches, pain, and he was still a little blind.
Claire and Emma were visited by"The Shoe Fairy" aka Kate.
She thought up the whole thing and the girls were beside
themselves when they woke up with treats in their shoes
from the "Shoe Fairy." Kate was so adorable thinking of
what they would like and planning it out. SO CUTE.
We had lunch at a NY Pizzeria. YUMMM!
Soft serve ice cream for a colossal kiddie cone for $.75.
The kids picked out bouncy balls from the vending machine
and played for hours at home. Love it.
On Sunday we had the pleasure of eating Kent's homemade
pretzels. Delicious! Jake and Emma were quite the duo of
"helpers".
Abbie is the baking Queen. She is such a great helper and
so grown up already for a 10 year-old!
We did also get to see the McOmber's and play games with them but didn't get any pictures. Oops. We love time to play with cousins and catch up.
We loved every minute of of our trip to the Carlson's! We love family time together and are so glad we could go as it has been 5 years since we have been in their home. Yikes. We promise not to let it go so long again. We love the Carlson's and our kids were in HEAVEN in their home, and playing with Claire, Kate, Abbie, and Jake.
We are so grateful for family that can be forever together. These short weekends are just a small taste of what we look forward to; an eternity of time with the people we love.
